ENGAGE
I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; but together we can do great things.

RDF students are involved in all aspects of running the schools and their education. Through partnerships with national and international organizations and companies as well as, through contact with the many volunteers that stay at the schools; RDF students have many opportunities to engage with the greater worldwide community. These interactions allow our students to share their own knowledge and also to learn from the experiences of those coming from different backgrounds.

COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
Parent teacher meetings: Community involvement is very important to the RDF family. Every school has a village committee with monthly meetings to discuss recent achievements or issues in the school as well as giving suggestions for improvement. Parents and village members of the committee come to the forefront when any issue needs addressing such as staff and student attendance, parental cooperation, and purchasing of food supplies. Outstanding fees are also addressed during these meetings.
Community Eco Programs: RDF’s educational philosophy involves fostering social responsiveness in students, which helps them to feel empowered to tackle various issues. This unprecedented year of the pandemic also helped build their adversity quotient as they learnt to acclimatize to new methods of education, financial stress in their families and working and studying simultaneously. Their strong sense of responsibility allowed them to overcome their challenges through a variety of solutions Hand stitched masks were made and distributed by RDF, including children. Cloth was locally collected, sanitized thoroughly before being made into masks. Students and families contributed to environment conservation by planting saplings and promoting the use of sustainable materials like clay to make earthenware and clay idols for Ganesh Chaturthi.
